of the thesis arises from global request for harmonization of society-nature relations. That is why there is a need for implementation of environmental education for development of ecological way of thinking and life. An important role in this process belongs to environmental NGOs as coordinators of environmental education. Their activity enhances development of general and agri- ecological education and culture, creates legal framework for administration of environmental policy.

 To consider and analyze current state and activity directions of international and Ukrainian organizations.

 The object of researching is the ecological education, nowadays it is necessary and urgent for the development and implementation.  The subject of researching are: international organizations like the focal points of development of the ecological education.

 To examine the state of international organizations;  To analyze peculiarity of international organizations’ functioning;  Evaluate an efficiency of international organizations as coordinators of environmental education.  Methodology of the research: analysis and synthesis, informational approach, systematic approach, culturological approach.
