Overview How the system works and its it’s purpose is to turn the food you eat into something useful for your body.

Parts of the system Large intestines job is when the food cannot be digested it gets passed to the large intestines, where the water and minerals absorbed into the blood stream. Small intestines job here the food is broken down even further until it is small enough to pass through the walls of the Small intestines.

Parts of the System continued… Mouth helps you chew your food so you can swallow. Stomach does its job when the food is in the stomach it is mixed with a mild acid. Esophagus does its job when the food is broken up it is swallowed down the esophagus into the stomach.
