Great Britain’s experience of social-economic development of regions – expansion of creative industries (CI) In increase in number of people working in cultural sector, 34%, total number of people working in cultural sector – 2,4% Indicator of the growth of creative industries reached 7,5% per year and was the highest among all economic industries.

EXAMPLES OF CI architecture, crafts, entertainers’ arts, design, interactive computer programmes, market of art and antique values, music, cinema and video production, publishing, television and radio, software and computer services, advertising

Events Problems: No unified organization system of events Too few events during the cold period of year Majority of events are non- commercial

Events Possibilities Coordinate timetable of events and promote them together Increase duration of events Apply bigger spaces, look for nonstandard spaces

Crafts Problems: No associated structure to take care of distribution of craftsmen’s production. Too few exposition spaces - crafts are represented inadequately Inadequate cooperation among craftsmen themselves

Crafts Possibilities: To create structure and selling network To create exposition spaces To support creation of open workshops

Uncoventional museums Problems: Uneven territorial distribution of museums Conditional attractiveness for users – visitors are rarely involved, interested.

Unconventional museums Possibilities: Promote and support establishment of museums Ensure supply of information about museums and their environment – encourage cooperation
