Linear Relationship Danielle Dennis, Taylor Monto, Melissa Meyers

Linear Relationship definition A line that stays at a constant rate.

Candy eating the number of candy eaten over a 5 min. time span – with six candy every time

Paintball shooting Number of paintballs shots per 25 sec. with 10 paintballs every 25 sec.

Cell phone talking Cell phone talking over 1 minute with 50 cents every minute

Variables The Dependent variable is cost of the bill. The Independent Variable is time spent talking.

Cost of bill for cell pone talking time [minutes]Cost of bill [50 cents per min] cents 2$1.oo 3$1.50 4$2.00 5$2.50 6$3.00 7$3.50 8$4.00

Graph for cell phone cost

Did you connect the coordinates? –Yes, we connected the coordinates on the graph because there are point between the coordinates.

equation The amount of money I have to pay on my cell phone bill is 50 cents times the number of minutes I talk. m=money I have to pay N= number of minutes I talk M=50 times n M=50n

Conclusion Hope you enjoyed our presentation.
