SEMINAR « Inclusive Employment » Vientiane, 7 – 11 October 2013 Who I am ?Who I am ? Brief presentation. My Name is Lokendra Babu Rai and I am a Nepali national. I am a Project Manager for Victim Assistance Project in South Sudan. I joined the project in August I have worked for 17 years in a variety of development and humanitarian relief organizations in Nepal, Myanmar, Somalia and South Sudan. I have a Master’s degree in Sociology; Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Tribhuvan University of Nepal. The thematic areas of development that I have worked include- livelihood, value chain market promotion, food safety net, voucher system, cash transfer/cash for work, micro-saving & credit, access to micro-finance, private sector engagement, rehabilitation of community infrastructures, disaster preparedness, non-formal education, women empowerment, gender, good governance, right-based approach, community mobilization, youth & peace building, sport & youth development, HIV/AIDS, Orphan Vulnerable Children (OVC), drug/substance use, harm reduction, Behavior Change Communication (BCC), disability and landmine victim assistance.
