Overview of Statewide AT Program Quality Services & Indicators

This PowerPoint will allow you to… Describe what quality services and quality indicators are. Identify how a statewide AT Act program can improve quality services by using quality indicators. Identify quality indicator tools and resources for statewide AT Act programs to achieve quality services.

Quality Services Quality Services are effective and promising practices that have been found to produce successful service outcomes for statewide AT Act programs. By providing quality services, a program ensures that the AT Act mandates are implemented.

Quality Services Work groups composed of staff from statewide AT Act programs developed lists of practices that they considered provided quality services for Device Demonstration and Device Loan programs. The Pass It On Center developed Quality Indicators for Device Reutilization programs. Development of Quality Indicators The Lists of Quality Practices were converted into “Quality indicators.” Elements of an Indicator: – Indicator Statement – Intent - providing context and explanation – Key Considerations – detail specific practices
