MAIL Read Message From: To: Pope Leo’s grave November 21, 1521 Dear Michelangelo, I have been feeling very ill lately. I have a feeling my time will be coming soon. I have seen some of your wonderful sculptures, David, the pieta, and have a favor to ask you. I am going to be buried in the Sistine chapel and I would like for you to build my grave. I need it to be huge. Its is going to be made out of marble, and I will supply you with everything you need, material, tools, helpers. I like to be surrounded by famous bible figures. Possibly Moses. It would be a wonderful parting gift from earth to the heavens. Please take this into consideration, Pope Julius If you are writing an as your character, his/her name will be in the FROM field. NEWS Cesena's Critics 1540 The last Judgment By Biagio da Cesena I recently visited the Sistine chapel to take a look at Michelangelo’s newest addition to his celling. He calls his painting “The Last Judgment” it portrays the final book of the Bible Revelation when God makes final Judgment deciding where his people will spend the rest of eternity. After observing the painting, I was appalled. It was entirely to inappropriate and not even painted with a Fresco. Later I complained to the Pope for there being to much nudity in the painting. I also stated “that it was a most dishonest act in such a respectable place to have painted so many naked figures immodestly revealing their shameful parts, that it was not a work for a papal chapel but for a bathhouse or house of ill-fame.
