S.I.PRO., Società Interventi PROduttivi, was set up on November 17th, 1975 and in 1999 it was renamed SIPRO – Local Development Agency. Shareholders Capital: about 5,6 Mio Euro. MISSION: Study, promotion and implementation of initiatives aimed at fostering the DEVELOPMENT OF MANUFACTURING ACTIVITIES in Ferrara Province, by offering, in particular, an overall solution including land, equipped facilities for enterprises and services aimed at the enhancement of local resources. The operational structure is made up of two main sectors: Infrastructures for enterprise settlement and Economic Promotion, with the support of a lean and efficient administrative sector. Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze ACTIVITIES 1. Industrial sites and infrastructures for manufacturing activities - Design and development of infrastructures for manufacturing activities. Availability of lots for industry, craft, business and services serving the whole province - Development and management of premises for new enterprises (business incubator network) - Study, design and development of Technologically and Environmentally Equipped Industrial Areas i.e. sites featuring high quality and environmentally-friendly solutions and special infrastructures and management systems. - Regeneration of derelict industrial areas 2. Economic promotion - Attraction of investments and promotion through targeted territorial marketing initiatives. - Management and monitoring of incentives granted by regional, national and EU funds to support enterprises. - Development of feasibility studies and pilot projects for local development, also funded by the European Union, in collaboration with Italian and international partners. iCON project – Partner SIPRO
