Purpose of this Unit: Aim is to develop your skills and knowledge of organising a business event. You will do this through planning, supporting, and follow-up activities for a real business event. The learning outcomes of the unit are for you to: -Understand the role of an event organiser -Be able to plan a business event -Be able to run a business event -Be able to follow up after a business event.

Research the role of an event organiser. Use your research to prepare a presentation explaining the different roles of an event organiser and why they are important in ensuring successful planning and running of a business event.

P2 Explain the role of an events organiser - writing frame Create a presentation (in PPT) describing: -What is the role of an events organiser? -How may the role vary within different businesses? -Why is organising a suitable venue important? Describe. -Why is organising suitable catering important?
