Ways of Transportation  Buses  Cars  Subways  Bicycles  Walking  Trains  Carriages pulled by horses.  Inland Waterways

Disadvantages  Transportation takes a long and is uncomfortable  Goes through the Ural Mountains.  Inland waterways are important, but many long rivers drain north into the frigid Arctic Ocean and freeze in the winter.

Problem of the Land that Affects Transportation  Russia is very large, so Trans-Siberian Railroad costs a lot of money. Especially from Moscow to Vladivostok.  Has very few roads.  In the east part it is very mountainous

Transportation in Moscow  The metro is all one zone there is no special zone.  The metro is open from 5:20 A.M to 1:00 A.M.  The rush hours for the metro in Moscow are 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 17:00 P.M. to 19:00 P.M.  Getting around in Moscow by metro and public transport |

Unique Transportation

Water Transportation  Many Russian rivers run from south to north making their use difficult during the winter.  During the winter most of the ports are covered in snow and ice which makes it hard to move around.  When trading, they must transport their goods another 200 miles to reach the nearest part of inland Russia
