What are zones? Zones are areas of a city reserved for a special purpose. Different zones will have different kinds of buildings, and different tax rates.

Types of Zones Commercial: Stores and places of business Industrial: Factories and warehouses Residential: Where people live

Why Create Zones? People don’t want to live next to factories. Some businesses (like grocery stores) like to be near where people live, while others (like law and accountant offices) like to be close to other offices.

Problems Problems start to happen when cities are improperly planned. Problems like: Urban Decay Crime Traffic problems
