Work Habits of Effective People Don’t Procrastinate Keep a Positive Attitude Don’t think the worst Set clear goals Set priorities Break tasks into manageable chunks Get organized before you start Commit yourself to doing the task Remind yourself Reward yourself

Motivation, such an aggravation Read pages 80 and 82, do the activity on page 82  In small groups (2-6) pick one of the scenarios and come up with ideas on how to motivate yourself  Write your ideas down (at least 5 per group) to share with the class Motivation Techniques  tell yourself that you will be rewarded after finishing  ask questions that are interesting to you  set a time for when to start/take break  chew gum  take notes  remind yourself that you need to pay attention to do work  marks are at risk  future depends on your grades  get up and get a drink  go to happy place  ask friends for help  realize you have to do it eventually  break it up and take breaks  turn off phone  no dessert until you finish  the faster you work the more sleep you get  remember that you get free time after
