Pupils will develop a positive self-image and confidence by using the language in an enjoyable way. 7. Pupils will have an opportunity to develop and express their talents. 8. Pupils will enrich their vocabulary, improve their fluency and pronunciation through a meaningful and exciting activity. Music Day / Goals

The task Each class performs one song. Each class produces a unique visual product which expresses the main idea of their song and each line of the song. Music Day / Task

Guidelines Each class has to: Choose a song Come up with a unique and creative product which expresses the main idea and each line of the song. (Some ideas for example: a Power Point presentation, a big illustrated book, collage, modelling clay, etc..) Teach the song to the other classes so they'll know the words and will be able to take part in the singing on the Music Day. Sing the song on the Music Day. Add movements and use props. Music Day / Guidelines

Music Day / Performance The Music Day We suggest having the activity separately for 3 rd - 5 th and 6 th - 8 th grades. Each class: Presents the visual product for 3-5 minutes. (They have to present it in English). Acts out the song together with movements and props. The judges assess the presentation according to the rubric below.

The winner The class which has the highest grade is the winner. You can have also a second winner and a third one. This way each class gets a prize and gets recognition for its investment in the Music Day. Music Day / Winner
