On The Job Training Training received while in actual performance of one’s work.

INTERNSHIP An advanced student in a professional field like teaching or medicine who actually works in their job area, under supervision, to learn skills, usually little or no pay.

APPRENTICE An inexperienced person who is learning a trade or skill by working under a skilled worker.

Vocational School Training for a specific set of job skills. Training can take 3 weeks- 1 ½years. Ex: construction worker, plumber, mechanic, cosmetologist

Technical School Training in skills related to the methods of using, installing or repairing of tools or machinery. Ex: computer technician, sound technician

Associate’s Degree This is a degree earned from a 2 year college Ex: OCC
