The church has been betrothed to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2) Christ thinks of the church as his bride (Ephesians 5:25-29) Christ died for the church to sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word (25-26) He did this so he could present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle, that she might be holy and without blemish (27) He nourishes and cherishes her (29) PURE AS A BRIDE
The church has been betrothed to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2) Christ thinks of the church as his bride (Ephesians 5:25-29) Someday the marriage will be complete (Revelation 19:7; 21:2-4) As we wait, we must maintain our purity In baptism (Acts 2:38) Walking after the manner of God (1 John 1:7) Confessing our sins (1 John 1:9) PURE AS A BRIDE
