PARENTS, Raise your children in the Lord!
The opportune time to raise children in the Lord is today, now, immediately. o Effective parental instruction and training is much shorter than life itself. o Teaching children must begin very early – from birth. o Start shaping while hearts are pliable, tender. o Proverbs 4:3-4 o Deuteronomy 6:7
HOW TO BRING DOWN A SON Author unknown, 1927 o Let him have plenty of spending money. o Permit him to choose his own companions without restraint or direction. o Give him a latch key and allow him to return home late at night. o Make no inquiry as to where and with whom he spends his leisure moments. o Allow him to understand that manners make a good substitute for morals. o Teach to expect pay for every act of helpfulness to others. o Let him spend Sunday hours, between services, on the streets. o Be careful never to let him hear your voice in prayer for his salvation and spiritual growth.
