Roles Of the Manufacturing Engineer Design Producibility- Figure out if concepted or designed part can be made. Specify machines and process to build a product. Specify Fixturing to build product. Specify Cutting Tools to build a product. Create Numerically Controlled Programs that run machine tools to make product. Troubleshoot processes to keep assembly lines or operations moving. Analyze Data to insure product quality. Provide Cost Estimates to make a part. Active role in Flight Safety at Sikorsky Aircraft.
