Environmental Science

What is environmental science? Environmental science is a mulitdisciplinary academic field that integrates physical, biological and information sciences to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems.

Components include: Atmospheric sciences Atmospheric sciences Ecology Ecology Environmental chemistry Environmental chemistry Geosciences Geosciences

What constitutes an environment? Biotic describes a living or once living component of a community; for example organisms, such as plants and animals. Biotic means living organisms. Biotic describes a living or once living component of a community; for example organisms, such as plants and animals. Biotic means living organisms. Abiotic components are those non-living chemical and physical parts of the environment that affect ecosystems. Abiotic components are those non-living chemical and physical parts of the environment that affect ecosystems.
