ABOUT THOMAS MALORY  Born in around 1416  Married to Elizabeth Walsh in Leicestershire and had 1 son, Robert  In 1441/1442 he was knighted  In 1445 he was elected a member of parliament for Warwickshire and served on commissions to assess tax-exemptions in the country  The author of Le Morte d’Arthur (the death of Arthur)

CONTINUED  In the 1450’s Thomas Malory turned to a life of crime. He was imprisoned for most of the 1450’s because of assault and theft.  He died on March 14, 1471 shortly after writing the Arthurian Legend

ABOUT THOMAS MALORY’S DAD  He was a landowner in Warwickshire and Northamptonshire  He was twice sheriff, 5 times member of British Parliament, and a justice of the peace (magistrate)  Married to Philippa Chetwynd, had several daughters and one son, Thomas
