 Instructions for assembly  Recipes  Directions for travel  Divide process into manageable steps  Discuss the steps in order  Provide a clear transition between steps Managing the process…

 Intro: why is the process important or interesting?  What tools or prep do I need before beginning?  What do I do first?  How do I know I am done and ready to move on  Repeat…  How do I know I am finished?

 Beginning of paragraphs  Inside paragraphs if there are smaller steps in each larger step  Readers do not notice instructions always, but appreciate the “flow” that occurs when they are present
