Important Institutional Reminders and Updates Mandatory influenza vaccination for VUMC employees Deadline December 31, 2015 Flulapalooza October 7, 2015 (today) Open Enrollment October 14-30, 2015 All VU/VUMC employees complete using one portal Go for the Gold Deadline October 31, 2015 World Travel is replacing CTM as the travel agent Switch will occur on October 30, 2015 Concur online travel booking tool will not be available from 6am-10am on October 30 No changes to use of Concur after switch Annual increases for eligible employees (staff and faculty) Exempt employees effective October 1 Non-exempt employees effective September 20 First Impressions: AIDET Plus the VUMC Promise Refresher course on AIDET training and first impressions in customer service excellence School of Medicine asking employees to complete a refresher course Complete in the Learning Exchange by October 30, 2015

VUMC Staff Community Pulse Survey The Pulse Survey was administered in June It included 18 questions designed to measure engagement. Compared to VUMC Biostatistics response rate was 90% compared to 69% for VUMC 36% actively engaged compared to 27% for VUMC 49% partially engaged compared to 59% for VUMC 15% actively disengaged compared to 14% for VUMC Overall satisfaction scored 8% lower than VUMC (2 additional favorable responses needed to match) Overall percent favorable is 1% below VUMC 11 questions scored lower than VUMC 7 questions scored higher than VUMC Compared to 2013 Survey Responses decreased from 27 to 19 (administrative staff now reflected in administrative and core pods) More staff actively engaged (36% vs 24%) Overall percent favorable increased by 11% Overall satisfaction question scored 58% in 2013 and out of 18 questions scored higher in 2015
