S TAGES OF A RT #1 Scribbling- begins about the 13 month, uses crayons and pencils, zigzags, not distinct shapes, by 3 years distinct shapes, mostly circles. Scribbling Distinct shapes

S TAGES OF A RT #2 Preschematic Stage- about 4 years, draw human figures with very large heads and legs coming out of heads, colors used are not realistic. Arms coming out of heads. Large heads.

S TAGES OF A RT #3 Schematic- about 7 years, definite forms, repeat the same forms again and again, figures arranged on a baseline rather than random on the page, x- ray perspective so viewers can see inside and outside of the drawing. Figures arranged on a baseline.

S TAGES OF A RT #4 Realism- about 9 years, drawings are much smaller and include much more detail.
