The Course Focus  Literature: The Crucible, Frankenstein, King Lear, poetry, short stories, film, etc…  Critical reading & thinking  Writing about literature

The Course Course Work: 70%  Speaking & Listening: 25%  Reading & Viewing: 35%  Writing & Representing: 40% Exam: 30%

Senior Memory Book  A series of narrative essays telling the story of their lives so far  These become a memory “book” which balances words and pictures to create something unique and meaningful to them  Students are NOT required to spend a lot of $$$ to create these The Course

12/AP Split Class Tests/Exams  Different style of questions (ex. Multiple choice)  12 AP will have more open ended questions  12 Advanced will have more focused questions  Different rubrics on some assignments 2 nd Semester  Individual support for AP students preparing for AP exam
