MLA In-Text Citations for Web Pages If you signal the author’s name in your sentence, you’re going to put an abbreviated version of the speech’s title in the parenthetical. Ex: In Hillary Clinton’s speech, she states that women deserve, “access to education, health care, jobs and credit, the chance to enjoy basic legal and human rights and to participate fully in the political life of our countries” (“Women’s Rights”). If you DON’T signal the author’s name, you’ll put the name of the author in the parentheses. Ex: The notion of “enjoying basic and legal human rights to participate in the political life of our countries” is a use of logos (Clinton).

Publisher and publishing date Work Cited If you only have one source on the page, it is a WORK CITED page. This title does not get italics, quotes, or anything else. Clinton, Hillary. “Women’s Rights are Human Rights.” American Rhetoric. n.p., 2001. Web. 10 Nov. 2015. Author Name Title of Work Title of Web Page Publisher and publishing date Medium Date of Access
