CHUCK CLOSE - Born in Washington State on July 5, His Father died when Chuck was just 11 years old. -He also saw his first Jackson Pollock Painting in person at the Seattle Art Museum when he was 11 and was outraged by the work, but within a few days found that he was dripping paint on canvases as well. -Diagnosed as learning disabled as a kid. -Also diagnosed with Prosopagnosia (Face Blindness). -Wanted to be a trash collector when he grew up.

2012 CITIES IN TRANSITION PHOTOGRAPHS WERE INSTALLED IN: -MADISON SQUARE PARK, NYC -DOWNTOWN CROSSING STATION IN BOSTON -BUSHNELL PARK IN HARTFORD THE IDEA: was to capture the changing urban environment Five images from each artists were displayed outdoors. Each image focused on how Urban America is evolving. The photographs depicted faces of immigrants in New York, the effects of the automobile in Boston, and the changing landscape of Hartford.

The photograph must be taken on a camera NOT a cellphone from the waist up. The photo should be zoomed in where the human body takes up the majority of the picture plane and there is not as much background. The photo should include a head (not cropped off), shoulders, and upper torso. The background of the photo needs to be plain like grey, white, or black. If you can not complete this assignment outside of class then you may make an appointment with your teacher and at least 2 classmates to help you afterschool one day.
