Clarifying the Entity 2011 Senate Bill 1039 This would have established State Education Resource Center as non-profit agency but passed without that provision “…It also will clarify for the public the association with the state Department of Education.” – Acting Commissioner George Coleman on SB1039 at Education Committee public hearing CGS and CGS n as amended Reestablishes State Education Resource Center as a quasi-public agency “…The Commissioner of Education may allocate funds to allow the State Education Resource Center…. to provide professional development services…” SERC shall maintain the Special Education Resource Center and the School Reform Resource Center
