Student Perception Survey Logistics NCVPS Pilot – November 2015 Two survey administration windows: –January 2016 –March/April 2016 Districts will be assigned survey windows to ensure smooth system operation Principals will assign a Survey Coordinator to monitor completion at each school site

The Student Experience Simple, intuitive platform Surveys can be taken on any computer or mobile device Each survey takes minutes to complete Students will be sampled to complete no more than two surveys during each survey administration

Teacher & Administrator Views Each district and school site will have a Survey Coordinator Survey Coordinators have access to completion reports in the online platform Teachers will have access to aggregate results for each survey question Principals will receive indexed construct ratings aligned to NCEES Standards 1-4.

ASW Updates

ASW Changes for A complete Evidence Collection will consist of 5 objectives. This is a change from the 3 objective requirement from the January Implementation. The teacher must choose 5 different objectives using the Strands and Standards Guidance. In ONLY, teachers could choose the same objective in classes with the same course code.

ASW Changes for Two ASW Plan Types: Semester & Year Year ASW Plan Teachers choose 5 objectives in the fall Entire Evidence Collection is uploaded in the spring Used by teachers whose schedules comprise mostly year-long classes.

ASW Changes for Two ASW Plan Types: Semester & Year Semester ASW Plan Teachers choose 3 objectives in the fall and 2 objectives in the spring Two upload windows – one at the end of each semester Used by teachers whose schedules comprise mostly semester/quarter/6-week classes.

FAQ: How do I change my plan type? Principals can change the plan type by following these directions: Click on “My Staff” Scroll down to the teacher whose plan needs to be changed Click on the drop down menu under “ASW Type” Select the correct plan (either Year or Semester) Note – The plan type will update overnight, so you will not see the new plan until the following day after your principal makes the change.
