What is Core Studies 2? Core studies 2 is your second Psychology exam paper on the core studies. There are two sections – section A and section B You must answer one question from section A and one question from section B. The exam lasts one hour.

How should I answer part a) ? Read the question! Use words from the question to frame your answer. Write about what each study tells us in separate paragraphs (you should end up with four). You should give an example about what each study tells us (usually from the study’s results). Each study you describe gets a maximum of 3 marks.
Checklist for part a) Have you:- Described what each study has told us about ? Given an example from each study to show understanding? Written an answer for each study in a separate paragraph?
How should I answer part b) ? Part b) involves evaluation issues. What are the different evaluation issues? Evaluation Issues
How should I answer part b) ? (cont..) Read the question! Use words from the question to frame your answer. Lead with the evaluation issue, and explain why it is a problem/strength by relating it to a study from the list. Each issue should be placed in a separate paragraph Each problem/strength you discuss gets a maximum of 3 marks.
Checklist for part b) Have you:- Led with the issue, and discussed four? Linked each issue with a study from the list (each issue does not have to relate a different study, but it helps)?
