Program Summary :THE HOW PART ONE The program is divided into three phases. Which will be carried out within one year and will be divided into two batches.. The first batch will be made-up of 10 trainees from each city (Cape Town & Durban),and will last for 6 months. While the second batch which will also last for 6 months would be made up of 10 trainees. In essence, the project will directly impact 40 unemployed and previously unskilled young people in 12 months. The project will continuously increase the number of beneficiaries in the subsequent intakes.

THE HOW : PART TWO - The Three Phases - Phase 1: Self-discovery Journey; inspiring personal dignity, building identity and moral regeneration. The Cre8tivHandz team project together with its qualified stakeholders such as social workers & life coaches’ aims to get to the bottom of the ‘glass ceiling problem’ which leads to youth disheartenment & unemployment crises. The process we use to achieve this is called the Structural Alignment, which can be external and internal Structure; and Cre8tivHandz draws much focus on the internal structure which a person has much control over, such as patterns of thinking, patterns of acting. Phase 2: Creative Trigger: After their personal journey and own identity building, the project will then move to the ‘ learn by doing’ phase, where the trainees will be introduced to the start-up kit & acquire the skills that will fully equip them to start their own creation. This involves Product development skills: (which involves artisanal training, up-cycling, arts, crafts accessing the raw material. Cre8tivHandz initiative will also be offering hands-on skills in Fine art, Sign writing: (our team will teach trainees how to do T-shirt designing and branding manually (Handmade). We will also train them on Card-making, Wallet-making, brick making – utilizing the concept of Up- cycling: i.e., (creating sellable crafts and commodities by reusing waste papers, plastics, pearls, jutes (plant fibre). Marketing skills: (effective usage of social media as a means of advertising their products, computer literacy and effective writing & communication skills. Business management skills: (financial literacy, Business Ethics, capacity building, business leadership & networking opportunities, mentorship on how to implement their own fund raising initiatives.

Phase 3: Own creation –venture establishment (SME). At this phase with full support of Cre8tivHandz team and its stakeholders (City of Cape & EThekwini Municipalities,ENACTUS –UKZN etc.)the trainees will be challenge to put all the acquired skills to action by starting up their own small-medium scale enterprises. Art exhibitions and auctions will also be organized as a means of market penetration & benchmarking for produced products. The Cre8tivHandz will facilitate the creation of Eco-Produce open markets, and further support each of the trainees with a mobile stall to display and sell their goods, while keeping close contact with them and offering mentorship for at least 2 years.
