 Claudia- the main character who ran away from home because of injustice.  Jamie- Claudia's companion.  Mrs. Frankweiler- the lady who sold Angel for $225 to the Metropolitan Museum.  Parks- Mrs. Frankweiler’s butler  Sheldon- Mrs. Frankweiler’s chauffer.

 In the taxi  Mrs. Frankweiler’s house  Greenwich

 Claudia and Jamie ride a taxi to get to Mrs. Frankweiler’s house.  Jamie gave seventeen cents to the taxi driver which was all they had left.  They went to Mrs. Frankweiler’s house to get to know more about the Italian Renaissance and Angel.  Mrs. Frankweiler knew Claudia and Jamie from the newspapers.

 They were both on the 5 th page of Hartford, 2 nd page in Stamford and front page in Greenwich with not recent pictures.  Claudia’s picture in the newspaper was from 1 st grade.  Mrs. Frankweiler told Claudia that her parents have been worried about the both of them.  Claudia said she told them not to worry in the letter she sent.

 They were careful not to give them too much information about themselves.  Jamie accidently told Mrs. Frankweiler one of their secrets: that they took baths in the fountain in the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.  Mrs. Frankweiler and Jamie played war. Mrs. Frankweiler found out that Jamie cheats.

 Mrs. Frankweiler allowed Claudia and Jamie to look for the secret file about angel.  Mrs. Frankweiler organized her files in a certain way that could confuse them, and made it harder for them to look for the file in the time limit of one hour.  They found it under Bologna, Italy in a fat envelope in one of her file cabinets.

 They found out that Mrs. Frankweiler sold Angel for $225 because she doesn’t like to donate things.  They found out that Mrs. Frankweiler got the statue from a rich Italian Nobleman who was a very bad poker player.  The two siblings and Mrs. Frankweiler made a deal of bribery.

 The deal is that Claudia and Jamie will give her all the details of running away and she will give them the sketch.  Mrs. Frankweiler always wanted to be a mother.  Their secret was how Angel got involved and where they have been all week.

 Claudia and Jamie say the details about their running away into a voice recorder.  Mrs. Frankweiler had her chauffer drive the two Kincaids back to Greenwich.  Jamie plans to save his money and his winnings to go back and visit Mrs. Frankweiler.  Claudia and Jamie plans to go back and visit her and tell their parents that they are going bowling.

 Mrs. Frankweiler will become a grandmother to them without being a mother first.  Saxonberg, Mrs. Frankweiler’s lawyer turned out to be Claudia and Jamie’s grandfather.
