nnlkjk8yyyy Students had a great four day week in 2C!! Wednesday students voted on a name for the Eagle mascot. Many liked the Name Sky Walker. Just a little reminder to work on Sumdog math at home nightly. Everyday Math homelinks will begin at the end of Unit 1 next week. Historical Walking Tour – All second grade students will be going on a Sycamore historical walking tour Wed., Sept. 10, 2014 from 9:50 A.M. to 11:10 A.M. No permission slips are required because this is a community field trip. Contact me if you are interested in meeting us downtown Sycamore to join our class on the field trip. Traveling Trunk Presentation Mrs. Liebhaber, a beloved retired school teacher came to chat with our second grade students about the history of Sycamore on Wednesday this week. She presented a trunk full of historical artifacts. She even dressed a few students in time period wardrobe ( ). She shared fascinating facts about the history of Sycamore. Ask your child what Sycamore was originally called when it was first named. Mrs. L. is pictured to the left with students wearing Historical artifacts.
