Cartoon Analysis: 1. What is the title? 2. What object is in the cartoon? 3. What is the message of the cartoon? This is the first political cartoon in American history. Benjamin Franklin created it. Many people during this time believed snakes would come back to life if the pieces were joined. This cartoon was used as part of Franklin's idea of the Albany Plan of Union (a plan to create a council of colonial delegates to help rule the colonies.)
