Tutankhamen

Tutankhamen (King Tut) was not a major player in Egypt Pharaonic history We believe Tutankhamen ruled Egypt between 1334 and 1325 BC. He was probably the 12th ruler of Egypt's 18th Dynasty. Tutankhamen broke his leg badly just before he died". Although the break itself would not have been life-threatening, infection might have set in.

The main reasons that murder has ragged on as a possible cause of King Tut's death is because of a fracture to the back of his head revealed in an X-ray.King Tut

November of King Tut was probably an unimportant Pharaoh during his times, the only reason he is famous is because of the un-touch tomb that was discovered by Howard Carter in November of Howard Carter had spent 6 seasons, searching for artifacts. He was almost ready to give up when they found a stairway of rock which when uncovered, found 4 rooms of treasures

Items found were: Thrones, vases, chariots, status, jewelry, and ostrich- feathers fans Thrones, vases, chariots, status, jewelry, and ostrich- feathers fans. 2,000 Items were found in the 4 rooms

The Mummy of King Tut was laid in four coffins, the third coffin was made from 2,500 pounds of Gold! Estimated to be worth 13,000,000 (million) dollars! safety_mode=1&safe=active

Lord Carnarvon died in Cairo of pneumonia. This sent the already sensational press into a frenzy. Media hype about the mummy's curse set the media on fire, and much to Carters displeasure, he began receiving letters from spiritualists from around the world. Legend has it that by 1929, eleven of the people connected with the discovery of the tomb had died, including two of Lord Carnarvon's relatives, and Carter's personal secretary, Richard Bethel. This would spawn mummy movies through the end of the twentieth century and beyond.

Exhibitions The splendors of Tutankhamen's tomb are among the most traveled artifacts in the world. They have been to many countries, but probably the best-known exhibition tour, attended by more than eight million people in the United States alone, was Treasures of Tutankhamen, organized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art fromMetropolitan Museum of Art 17 November, 1976 through 15 March, 1977 (and extended by other galleries until 1979).
