Presentation transcript:

There are two different kinds of rain forest, tropical and temperate. There are 4 layers in a rain forest. First there's the emergent layer. The trees in the emergent layer get the most sun light. Not much humanity but very strong winds. The second layer is the canopy layer. Homes to more then 90% of the organisms. The third layer is the under story not much sun light.Often contains plants that can tolerate low light. Last the fourth layer the Forest Flore. Less then 2% of sun light. The plants down here tolerate very low light. With leaves, seeds, fallen fruit, and branches.

Here is one animal that live in the rain forest. The first animal is the chimpanzee. The chimpanzee eats fruit, nuts, leaves, insects, and eggs. There body size is cm. This animal is endangered it lives in the areas of Africa.

Here are two rain forest plants. The first plant is called Rattan. Rattan is in Asia. It’s a rope vine that can grow up to 600 feet long. The other plant is called jack fruit is in south east Asia, grown in the tropics. Can weigh up to 100 pounds. Green on the out and yellow on the in. it taste like pineapple and banana. This is jack fruit this is rattan

The Taiga get’s very cold almost freezing. Has long night’s in the winter and long days in the summer. It gets snow cold and has a scarcity for food. But other wise the Taiga is a beautiful place to be with animals that you’ve haven’t seen. TEMP LOWHIGH SUMMER20 F70F WINTER65F30F

Here are two animals that live in the Taiga. The first animals is the Pine Gross Beak. Its class is bird this bird s likes to eat seeds. Is average home is in northern USA, Asia, Canada, and Russia. The next animal is the moose it is a mammal. It likes to eat different kinds of plants. Its family can be deer. Lives near the lakes and ponds in northern Europe, Asia, Alaska, Canada, new Zealand, and northern USA.

Here is one plant that is in the Taiga. This plant is a type of leave. These needles don’t fall off during the winter and are adapted to the cold. These needles grow off the trees.

This where I got my information.
