Process for Documenting Resources related services and Alignment with Service Components Group Name: WG2-ARC-( ) Source: Ericsson Meeting Date: Agenda Item:

© 2013 oneM2M Partners oneM2M-ARC Objective Specify the behavior of the systems in terms of the services provided to applications, based on the resources in the tree structure. This facilitates the support of the integrated approach, as well as ensuring that resources are justified.

© 2013 oneM2M Partners oneM2M-ARC Process Outline The process involves the following 3 steps: – List Service Slogan for every resource in the Resource tree – Describe the service in more details at an abstract level. – CSFs Re-alignment to service components

© 2013 oneM2M Partners oneM2M-ARC Steps 1&2 (1 of 3) Prepare for the following table for all resource groupings : SloganResource name Service DescriptionApplicable CSE Option ality List the service (only create aspect to be consid ered) Resource used to expose the service Refer to the appropriate section in section 6 where the CSE functions are described. This implies that this section have to be restructured to describe the services so it can be referenced Mandat ory/Op tional

© 2013 oneM2M Partners oneM2M-ARC The above applies to the following resources: – CSE Resource – Application Resource – Access Right Resource – Container Resource – Group Resource – Base Resource – As well as any additional resources to be later defined Step2 1&2 (2 of 3)

© 2013 oneM2M Partners oneM2M-ARC Partial example for access right Steps 1&2 (3 of 3) Service SloganResource Used Create an access control unit (instance) to be allocated., a list of the attributes Subscribe to changes in an access control unit (instance) - (Optional function)

CSE network Mcn Suscription Registration/ Identification Network Service Exposure Communication/ Data Exchange Device Management Security Step 3 -Service Grouping and CSF Re-alignment Location Management CSFs have to be regrouped to match the service components in the figure to facilitate ROA and SOA integration (regardless of any selected option) There has to be a complete alignment between CSF and service Components in the figure. This is mandatory Data Management Discovery
