FAITHFULNESS THAT DELIVERS Ezekiel 14:12-14

The righteousness of Noah delivered Noah (Gen. 6-9). Noah built an ark for the saving of his family (Heb. 11:7). Believed God’s warning. Godly fear obeyed. Steadfastly obeyed (cf. 1 Pet. 3:20). Noah was a preacher of righteousness (2 Pet. 2:5).

Daniel’s faithfulness delivered Daniel. Daniel held to his spiritual integrity at the risk of his own life. Purposed in his heart not to defile himself with unclean foods (Dan. 1). Refused to waver in his allegiance to God (Dan. 6). Unwavering in prayerful devotion.

The righteousness of Job delivered Job. Job was a blameless and upright servant of God (Job 2:3). Feared God (cf. Prov. 1:7; Ecc. 12:13) Shunned evil. He regularly made sacrifices for sins (Job 1:5). He held to integrity toward God Did not charge God with wrong (Job 1:22).
