 A irway maintenance with cervical spine protection  B reathing and ventilation  C irculation with hemorrhage control  D isability: Neurologic status  E xposure/ E nvironmental control: Completely undress the patient, but prevent hypothermia

 Verbal communication (including crying in children)  Re-evaluate often  Inspect  Foreign body  Fracture of facial bones, mandible, trachea or larynx  GCS < 8, Intubate to protect airway  Glasgow Coma Scale (to be outlined later)

 Important to maintain while addressing airway  Do not  Hyperextend  Hyperflex  Rotate

 Immobilization device removed for evaluation or treatment  Member of team must hold using inline techniques
