Objectives: SWBAT examine relationships of angles formed by parallel lines and a transversal. SWBAT find missing angle measures when given a visual image of angles SWBAT utilize algebra to find missing angle measures

Find Measures of Angles Formed by Parallel Lines Answer: Since  8 and  4 are corresponding angles, they are congruent. A. Classify the relationship between  8 and  4.

Find Measures of Angles Formed by Parallel Lines Answer: Since  3 and  6 are alternate interior angles, they are congruent. A. Classify the relationship between  3 and  6.

Find Measures of Angles Formed by Parallel Lines Answer: m  7 = 115° and m  6 = 115° B. If m  2 is 115°, find m  7 and m  6. Since  2 and  7 are alternate exterior angles, they are congruent. So, m  7 = 115°.  2 and  6 are corresponding angles and are congruent. So, m  6 = 115°.

A.A B.B C.C D.D A.12° B.22° C.158° D.102° B. If m  3 = 158°, what is m  7?

A.A B.B C.C D.D A. What is the relationship between  4 and  5?

A.A B.B C.C D.D A.They are corresponding and congruent. B.They are adjacent and supplementary. C.They are corresponding and supplementary. D.They are adjacent and congruent. A. What is the relationship between  1 and  5?

A.A B.B C.C D.D A. If the measure of  5 = 68.4◦, find the measure of each angle. Explain your reasoning.
