Logging into Canvas for the first time 1: Navigate to onlinelearning.berkeley.edu and click the “Forgot password?” 2: Enter your Berkeley.edu email address in the Username field, and click “Request Password”.

Letter of Accommodation – Types of Accommodations Extended Time (150% or 200%) -Ask student to arrive early or stay late -Work with the student to establish test date and time to complete exam -Contact DSS to arrange for a proctor Note Taking -Securing is a shared responsibility between the student, the instructor, and DSS -Whenever possible, identify a volunteer from the class to take notes -Refer to DSS for training or assistance Recording -Audio recording for home access Computer Use -For note taking and exams -Access to power outlet in class -Establish exam schedule and details with student Accessible Downloadable Files -All required reading materials must be made ‘accessible’ in the format of the student’s choice (word, PDF, RTF, Braille) -Remediation process requires at least 3 weeks advanced notice (complex materials such as math, science files may take longer to remediate) TO CONTACT UC BERKELEY EXTENSION DSS: extension-dss@berkeley.edu (510) 643-5732
