Rick was born June, in San Antonio TX. He lives in Texas with his wife and two sons. He is the #1 best selling author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series, the Kane series, and the Heroes of Olympus. Rick has been writing for fifteen years, taught English and history at both public and private schools in San Francisco and Texas. Rick worked as a music teacher at a summer camp, Camp Capers, for tree years. Which made him think of his first book, and its setting Camp Half- Blood. His first full time job was teaching in New Braunfels, Texas. Until he and his wife moved to San Francisco and he tough Presidio Hill School. He and his wife then moved back to San Antonio when the had their two sons and he tough 6-7 English for 6 years. He then stopped to be a writer. Other Jobs

Did you like teaching? Why does it take you a year to write books? What was your inspiration for Percy Jackson and the Olympians? Yes he did. I read that he is writing as fast as he can, but he doesn't want to sacrifice quality. He wants the book to be done faster to and he will try to speed up his writing. His inspiration for writing this series was his older son's asking him to write story's about the Greek gods and new heroes. Questions I had

Extras In Ricks books, he looks over old Greek mythology and re-writes it in his image. His sons names are Haley and Patrick. All of his books are his favorite, he sais its like choosing your favorite kid. In his spare time, he likes to read, swim, play guitar, and travel with his family. The Heroes of Olympus is #1 in the U.S. In the first Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Percy is ADHD and dyslectic, the reason for this is because his son was being tested for ADHD and dyslexia.
