Status of SFRs sub-WG Tomoya Hirota On behalf of SFRs sub-WG 2015/07/07 1

Summary of our recent activities Same as last meeting, but focusing on progress 1.Members; new members are always welcome! 2.Regular sub-WG meetings; almost once per month 3.Progress of 44 GHz methanol maser studies 4.Follow-up proposal 5.Related workshop/symposium; need more presentation to demonstrate our activities! 6.Large proposal 7.Current issues 2

3. Progress of 44 GHz MM studies Data reduction – See presentations by our sub-WG members, but no publication since the last year (Matsumoto et al.) – Need more analysis (see section 7) Status of recovery observations – K14th01a (2014 Nov. 11); G27.36 and G28.37MM1 Due to wrong frequency setting by Hirota, maser was out of IF… Need recovery observation after the maintenance season – K15th01a (2015 Mar 05); G Test of sub-array multi-frequency mode Matsumoto-san’s report 3

4. Follow-up proposal VERA project science for SFRs sources (Hirota) – Annual parallax measurements with VERA – Regular monitoring of 17 targets in KaVA SFRs list – Fringe-check observations for 40 candidates – Still under discussion in VERA science WG (2015~?) ALMA cycle 3 (deadline ~ Apr. 23) – Submitted (ID etc.) and waiting for review result JVLA, JCMT, and ASTE proposals – To be discussed 4

6. Large proposal Multiple maser observations toward high-mass star-forming regions Summary of review (issues to be addressed) – More detailed justification of science goals – Relationship between each sub-project and main goal – Relationship between other follow-up observations – Justification of number of sources – Strategy for 1st year and beyond – Detailed plan to encourage PhD students We will revise the proposal by the next-next DM 5

7. Current issues Summary of feasibility and problems on KaVA, sharing information with all sub-WG and users – Deadline was March, but not yet completed – Need more analysis for imaging of spatially extended emission and wide-field imaging using available data – Need detailed publication plan of these results – Phase-referencing test is done under collaboration with astrometry sub-WG – Sub-array multi-band mode is tested by using new data (see Matsumoto-san’s presentation) 6
