10 Tips to Rev Up Your Business Susan Kates, MBA April 11, 2012

Tip 1 Why? Why am I starting this business? The answer might be surprising.

Tip 2 Know your numbers. Don’t let things slide thinking the problem will go away. It never does, in fact it gets tougher and tougher

Tip 3 Own your outcomes. Pick 3 things, ONLY 3 and make them happen. Be specific, be clear and write them down.

Tip 4 Know who you are targeting. Talk to your customers so you know who they are and what they are looking for. What is the problem you are trying to solve. Ask them if your product offers a solution.

Tip 5 Create your top 50 list. Who are the people and businesses you are trying to connect with. Use

Tip 6 Find the right environment for success. Find a place to work, if where you are working isn’t working for you

Tip 7 Don’t reinvent the wheel. Know your competition, know what they are doing, but don’t try something so different that it doesn’t work

Tip 8 Work the media. Find your angle and work it. Don’t forget social media can also help you.

Tip 9 Find collaborators. Collaborators will help promote your business. Remember you will need to promote their’s

Tip 10 Stay organized. Plan your work and work your plan.
