Plans After High School College Fordham University, Bronx, NY 5 year teaching program Major in early childhood education with a focus in special education Here I will get my bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and dual certification in the State of New York Teach Ideally in New York City or back in Virginia Beach Focuses I would like to focus in either Special Education Specifically ESL Education or Developmental Delay in Children

Hobbies ▪ I love to run and aspire to run a marathon within the next two years. ▪ I am a huge advocate of reading and adore literature, specifically the following books: – Catcher in the Rye: J.D. Salinger – Jane Eyre: Charlotte Brontё – Great Gatsby: F. Scott Fitzgerald ▪ I also am extremely passionate about my personal faith and have been able to exercise my passion throughout the YoungLife organization

Dreams… ▪ I aspire to hopefully live in New York City, specifically the borough of The Bronx! ▪ I want to have ideally 3 to 4 children ▪ My ideal career “dream” is to eventually be a kindergarten teacher in New York City.

Mom and Dad ▪ My parents are both proudly Virginia Beach City Police Officers – My mom is a lieutenant and has been with the VBPD for nearly 30 years – My dad is a sergeant and has been with the VBPD for nearly 20 years but an law enforcement officer for 30 years. ▪ My parents both hold Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. ▪ Both are originally from New York and eventually relocated in Virginia Beach to start our family.

Sisters ▪ Brittany is my oldest sister. – She attends the University of Maryland at Baltimore County and is currently a Communications major who aspires to go into the field of Journalism. ▪ Taylor is my middle sister. – She attends George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She is currently a sophomore and is majoring in history on the special education track. She hopes to utilize her education to do something with children diagnosed with Autism. My sister Taylor and I are at her school, George Mason University My oldest sister Brittany and I at dinner in her home state, Maryland.

Teaching… ▪ In my opinion teaching is the greatest profession as you touch every life you encounter with the gift of knowledge ▪ Being able to give the gift of knowledge is something which irreplaceable ▪ I have a passion for Kindergarten as it is such a new age in the world of learning

Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow ▪ Going into VTfT I wanted to teach 10 th grade English ▪ Following VTfT course so far and after completing my internship I fell in love with early childhood education and have recently decided I would like to become a Kindergarten teacher ▪ I now have a plan for my future, a foundation to lay that future upon, and experience to enhance my future through Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow ▪ Experience in the classroom has given me hands on learning and student-teacher interaction
