Input Devices By Mrs. Gonzales

All the input, output and storage devices connected to and dependent on a computer for operation are called peripherals. A computer needs input, output and storage devices so that it can accept data, process that data and produce useful output.

Input devices are pieces of equipment that are used to put data into the computer. What are Input Devices?

Data Processing Cycle DATA CAPTURE DATA INPUT DATA PROCESSING DATA STORAGE DATA OUTPUT

 Data capture means collecting data for input.  It is the first stage of the data processing cycle.  It is at this point various input devices are used to input data that the computer will process and / or store. What is Data Capture

This is a check to ensure that data from the medium it was originally stored on is accurately transcribed or copied into a computer. This is the checking of data for errors before the actual processing. It is used to determine if the data entered is incomplete, inaccurate or unreasonable. Data Verification and Validation
