STRIVE Orientation K-3

We want our school to be great. And every one of our students to be great.

That means that each and every one of us has to:  Make good choices  Do what’s right  Do our best and  Help others

To be great we have to work really hard. We call that STRIVE for Greatness. STRIVE means to work really hard.

What do we have to do to be great? ? ? ? ?

First, we have to learn about what is right and what is wrong. Then we have to love to do good things.

Then we have to make good choices about how we act.

Have you ever had a dog or puppy that was so good to you that you loved him very much?

This picture of a good dog is going to remind us to make good choices to do what is right.

A lot of children love horses and ponies because they are beautiful and when they run fast - they run really fast.

This picture is going to remind us to be like a horse who is running really fast and that we can make choices to do our best.

Have you ever watched birds fly through the air? They can fly really high.

This is a picture of an eagle - a very special bird because it represents our country. This picture is going to remind us to fly like an eagle and help others and be good citizens of our country.
