Christmas at school

Every year, at schools there are Christmas celebrations. During a special assembly a play presenting Jesus nativity. Then class meetings are held in a relaxing atmosphere. Students and teachers share the wafer greeting each other. We sing Christmas carols. Then there is our favorite moment of giving students gifts.

What students are doing at Christmas at school? - sing carols - share the wafer -give presents - read the Bible - watch nativity play - sometimes take part in competitions

This year Christmas Eve is on a Monday. Students have Christmas break from 23 December to 1st January. On the last school day before Christmas students meet in their classrooms and celebrate this festival together. Some days earlier students draw cards with their names to decide who they are to buy a present. During Christmas meeting they give each other gifts. They can be hand-made gifts or bought for very small amount of money.

All students decorate classrooms to create festive atmosphere and to feel like during real Christmas Eve. There are also competitions for the most beautifully decorated classroom and decorated Christmas tree, you can win only the first prize.. Students bring the food and drink prepared by family or bought in a store.

Nativity prepared by the students are presented during a special assembly at school. There are Christmas carols competitions organised and you can check which class will perform best.

Someone dresses up as Santa Claus, go to the classes and hand out candies, ringing bells, singing Christmas carols.
