Road To The Revolution Timeline 8 th Grade U.S. History

Revolution What was the American Revolution? - It was a war fought in the late 1700’s between the rag-tag English colonies and the global superpower of Great Britain for the colonies independence.

How did we get to this point? Several events led up to the English colonies revolting against the British Crown. It all started with the French and Indian War and the Proclamation of 1763

Creating A Timeline All events must be listed in chronological order. The timeline can be presented in a horizontal or vertical fashion. Each event must have a title, date, description, and illustration.

Your Road To Revolution Timeline 1-Must Have a title-5 points 2-Must be in chronological order(With Dates)-10 points 3-Must have 11 events-10 points -French and Indian war begins-French and Indian War ends- Proclamation of 1763-Boston Tea Party-Boston Massacre-Intolerable Acts-Townshend Acts-Stamp Act-Lexington and Concord-First Continental Congress-Second Continental Congress Each event needs a brief description-10 points (2-3 sentences max) Each event needs an illustration-10 points Timeline must be colored-5points
