Photoreceptors Rods are responsible for detecting objects in dim light – black and white. Cones are responsible for detecting objects in bright light – colors – red, green, and blue.

Hyperopia Farsightedness Image shows up behind the retina – eye is too short

Myopia Nearsightedness Image shows up in front of the retina – eye is too long

Presbyopia Oldsightedness Lens looses its ability to focus on objects – can’t see objects up close
