2 Lesson Learning Goal You will learn how using video taped ethical dilemmas can be effective in changing attitudes, in taking charge of one’s own direction in life, and in taking responsibility for one’s own conduct.

3 Learning Objectives You will be able to: Explain what an Ethical Dilemma is. Use Video Ethical Dilemmas to implement change. Discuss the four reasons why people act unethically.

4 Why Law Enforcement Officials Commit Unethical Acts They justify their actions with excuses They experience momentary selfishness They make a bad decision They are afraid of paying the price for doing the right thing

5 Human Reaction Under Stress: The Fight or Flight Syndrome In a crisis we’ll react the way we’ve been trained! Stress effects how we think; how we behave; and how we communicate! Our body will experience over 200 changes.
