 The Aztec grew corn,beans,squash,tomatoes,limes,chilies,insects,chocolate, and etc.

 Got its structure from units of society  Existed before Aztec empire  Government was called Cappulli  Responsible for basic needs  Made sure taxes were collected  City councils had the most power

 Men had more then one wife  First wife would do the ceremony but the rest are just to take care of main wife, husband, and children  Men are suppose to treat all wives equally  Men were the head of family  When married couples were given a piece of land

 Servants were used for carrying weapons and other cargo  Young adults trained for war  When a soldier captured their first enemy soldier it symbolized being a true solider  Life of warriors were short  Every war men had to go back to war and leave their family  The higher the rank the better the armor

 Only the rich had real and expensive jewelry  Usually there would be more then one material going into a piece of jewelry  Common used materials were: copper, gold, silver, shells, clay,wood,rock (rock is like obsidian)  Both men and women wore jewelry
